- Yes, there was a Foxtrot comic that ended just like that.
- It's one of the many errors that I make when doing the text. Only that time, like a few other times, I didn't notice it in editing.
- No, I would never rip off a comic, at least, not intentionaly. I'm not sure why I ever let that one through. I guess at the time I thought it was funny and forgot that the same gag had been used in Foxtrot. And to think I'm always making myself go the extra mile to have every strip as different as I can and never use a joke that I've already heard myself. Then something like that gets out and I fail miserably without intending to. Darn.

Doug's dialog and weapon are from a very early (maybe even first) Calvin & Hobbes Sunday strip. In fact, if you look in the 4th panel there's a Calvin & Hobbes picture.
