The main reason Invader Zim was cancelled was because it was spendy, and they were looking for a kid show to draw in the young viewers, but instead got a crazy show that got older viewers. I know they've seen his comics, so I don't know what they were expecting.
But the good news is that the show is coming to DVD! I'm picking up the first season this Tuesday, hence the reason there’s a crossover in my webcomic. In fact, I think the company is even going to put out the second half of season two (show was cancelled halfway through) in storyboards at least. So I'm looking forward to that.
And last I heard Jhonen was making some new show, but what and for whom I don't remember. He should just make a third Filler Bunny comic. That would be the super awesome happy best.

I really didn't get the joke of today's strip.
Oh, and I'd love to see Invader ZIM on DVD.

It occured to me the other day that the latest generation of kids today might know Calvin and Hobbes more as the kid peeing on truck logos then the comic strip. When this became apparent to Phil's girlfriend, she didn't take it well. She likes books, as I kinda stated in one strip way way back when or something.
Oh well, at least the way Doug plays RISK is funny.

Yeah... Kinda sad, too. Calvin and Hobbes is a good comic! Anyway, is Doug on fanfiction.net? Oh, yeah! I remember Doug once saying "All Your Base Are belong To Us" so, www.allyourbasearebelongtous.com/flash/ use that link.

Tom Bombadil was one of the many parts in the Lord of the Rings books that didn't make it into the movie version. You need to read the books if you can, because you're missing a lot of the story otherwise (which I think is his point here).

Actually, my computer blow'd up. For the past two months I've been fighting a virus/adwere/spywere that's been infecting my system and Sunday evening it finally one. To make a long story short, the only corse of action left was to reformat my hard drive and start all over (again). Of course, I had problems reinstalling Windows, so that wasn't even easy.
I just tonight got the internet working, though I get to spend all my time getting the system caught up to 2004 again. I also seem to be missing the driver disks (yes I have more then one copy) for my scanner. Luckily, I made backups of most of my system a while ago, so I didn't loose too much. Not sure when I can get the comic back, but I hope some time this week.
Thanks for waiting for updates .... again =(

Eh, I had a hunch about the beef thing. I could've sworn I put BEEF too. But that's what happens when my spell checker isn't loaded.
Speaking of things not loaded, my scanner isn't up yet (along with a few other things), so updates will wait till I can get to that other scanner I used to get the last update group. I know, it stinks. But these things happen.

Well, the person's appearance didn't gross me out, it's just what he said that grossed me out.
