Remember back in the day when there was Lordandy.com? It ended one day. I remember one day when I had not checked the PLT's in like 2 weeks and tried to go to lordandy.com and nothing happened. I eventually found the PLT's again.
There was all those comic books like Everything Right is Wrong also. They were great. Why was it shut down?

Gather 'round folks, and you'll hear the tale of lordandy.com
*guitar strums*
A few years ago, a friend helped me set up lordandy.com on his server and got the name set up. So I made the page, uploaded the comics and fanarts and lordandy.com was born. It was fun times.
However, all was not well in the internet. Ther server my site was on (as well as a few others) was shutting down. I would have to find my own server to upkeep my fanwork.
Ah, but such a goal came at a price. A little foe called money. You see, at the time, I didn't really have any money. So I put two and two together and thought - hey, it would cost me a bit of money to keep my fanworks all up on my own website. It really didn't seem to be getting much traffic, so I decided to let the site go away. Nobody seemed to notice, and only a few have mentioned it since.
So where does that leave us today? Well, I still don't have any money to uphold a website. I don't think the files are even saved anywhere for me to access. I do have all the originals lying around, so I would be able to rescan them. Now I just wonder if I should.
I really like my first fancomic, Monstrous Proportions. It had a great story that panned out well. However, the artwork is a good five years old so I find it to be horrible looking. Still, it's a fun story.
Next was Enough for a Puff. Once again, great story, great villian, and fun jokes. But it also had poor artwork and worst of all ... fan and self insertions that just make it seem weird and awkward to everyone else. Plus it was, like what, 116 pages? That's a lot of scanning to do.
The side story "Hey, that's MY Puff!" was a fun little side project. A few fun jokes, but nothing Earth shattering.
And now .... sigh ... on to "Everything Right is Wrong" I had high hopes for this one, but a few things got in the way. Nobody seemed to be too interested in it, as far as I could tell, so that helped play into me stopping it when my own interest was leaving it. Plus I never decided upon an ending. So if people wouldn't mind an unfinished comic, with the most bizzar self-insertion, then power to them.
I also have many. many Powerpuff fanart pieces lying around. Like everything else, they're funny, only dated so they don't look good to me artisticly.
In the end, it would take me a lot of time an effort just to get those back onto my computer to be worked with again. And if I did, I wouldn't make a whole website just for them. I would probably upload them to deviantart or some kind of internet art archive.
But yeah, I spend a lot of time working on new original products that could, you know, MAKE me money instead of have me spend it. Buying a website would cost me money I don't have. Even making PLT costs me money in art supplies and such, but hopfully when I relaunch a store of some sort people will buy something.
So for now, I have the originals lying around. If I feal like putting them up, I will. I'm not sure how many people are interested in them, but since I Do get asked once or twice a year, that does mean SOME people are wondering what happened.

I find myself constantly wondering what happened to LA.com, and now, I know.
Just a thought, though, maybe you could scan those originals (which i loved to death), and put them up on the PLT website somewhere?

That would be cool. Or maybe you could make another keenspace website just for the other stuff.

What kinds of new things are you working on? Maybe you could put those on the net to. It would be great![/glow]
Edit: This is somewhat random...but do you ever consider making a fancomic of an anime? Using the anime style and everything?

OLD STUFF At some point when I have time (as in, next week) I'll scan some of my old stuff and stick it up somewhere. I probably won't use PLT or another Keenspace account. That's especially true since Keenspace accounts take a while to activate. Though the automatic update would be handy ... hmmm
I'll probably stick them up on some art archive site. They won't be easy to navigate through, but it'll be easier for me. That'll make a nice temporal home for all my old stuff people might like to see.
NEW STUFF Fancomic of an anime you ask? Well, two problems. First is I can't draw in anime style at all. Secondly, I don't have any anime stories I need to tell. All my favorite anime's tell all the story they need to tell. Well, more Cowboy Bebop would be fun, but I have other ways to tell stories like that.
I really don't have any fancomics to make in general, actually. Sure, I never finished Everything Right is Wrong (and don't plan to) and I had a few more ideas (another PPG idea, and I did enjoy drawing Courage the Cowardly Dog), but I've lost interest in making fancomics for now. Maybe once my original things are going and I have some spare time and money (heh) I'll look into it again. But for now, I have original things to worry about.
And what are those original things? You'll find out in a few (or more) years. I'm a very thorough writer, so that makes me a slow writer. I DO finally have the storyline comic idea down. It's a little mini-series that's quite different the PLT to say the least. I'll show you all someday, just be patient.
I have a few other ideas kicking around that might come out at first. I have this cute idea that might make it out first because it's open-ended, while the mini-series I mentioned above has one long story to tell. It all depends on what I have time for, which ones I feel are worthy of my time, and which ones publishers will think are worthy.
So just wait. The stuff I'm working on will be worth it. If I put this much effort into PLT, think what I could be doing with more important projects. Now all I need to do is finish them.

Currently none of my old stuff is up on the web anymore, neither in the lordandydotcom page or my really really old Geocities accounts. I’ve been really busy at work this week to make up for all that time off, so I haven’t had a chance to get any old stuff re-scanned yet. But don’t worry, when I have some stuff up I’ll let you all know.
