Ok, so, you're at the end of the game after hours of work and you finally meet the end guy. You physically start to sweat in anticipation when:
a) "HOLY **** THIS IS INTENSE" or b) "Well this is lame."
My vote for a):
Recently I beat the game Ikaruga. I can't remember another game when I yelled "HOLY ****" every time I hit a button. And if you've seen the end boss to Ikaruga, you'll know that I'd be swearing every half second. Oi, and I thought DDR made your muscles tense! FYI: Ikaruga is an old Dreamcast game recently made for GameCube. It's a shooter where you need to switch between black and white while dodging bullets of the opposite color you are while abosrbing the same color. Belive me, it's not that easy!
b):
As much as I'd hate to say this in a rich Zelda fan zone; defeating Ganondorf in A Link to the Past was pretty much "eh" to me. Getting through the Ice Palace was more interesting (and frustrating). I loved the rest of the game. Yay I saved the world (again). Oh well, most RPGs do that to me.
How about your votes?

Games like Zelda: Wind Waker (GC), Metroid Prime (GC), Body Harvest (N64), Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64), and Yoshi's Island (SNES) have some very fun boss fights. However they're not that hard so I wouldn't nessisarily call them intense.
Near the end of the Game, Viewtiful Joe (GC) has some brutal boss fights that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. There was one in particular that drove me insane for well over a week.
Then there's the lame bosses. StarFox Dinosaur Planet (GC) failed to deliver on several levels, and the few bosses it had weren't all that interesting. Mario Sunshine (GC) also had dull boss fights minus the stingray shadow one.
But I love a good boss fight. Nothing beats taking on something ten times your size, or at least something that fills you with a "I have no idea how I'm going to beat this" fealing.

For A, I'd say Odowla in Majora's Mask. When you are equipped the way you are (only 4 or 5 hearts, Bow, Kokiri Sword), you'll start to go insane if you are a newcomer to the series. Once you upgrade a lot, have a better sword (Not the crappy Razor Sword, the nice Gilded one), you should be able to beat him in under a minute.
Bongo Bongo in Ocarina of Time was also pretty hard my first few attempts.
For the cheap crappy bosses, I'd say....hmmm....Shadow Bomber from Bomberman Hero was pretty simple, and not that fun....Of course, I did have a gameshark to give me health, etc....
I have many more, but I am too lazy to post any further.

This being our first post, we will go about it cooperatively. First, just to warn you, I have a split personality. Now that that's said, we will speak.
Sonic: My list is like this: A) Biolizard, Egg Viper, Ganondorf, (Not so much the difficulty, which was null, as the atmosphere of the batle) and that Eggman's Doomsday Machine, from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. (You have to fight him with no rings)
My B) Shadow the first time, the second boss in Flying Battery (Wow, run from a laser going 2 miles per hour. Difficult.)
Shadow: I don't play many video games. Sorry. Both Sonics were easy, though, his Sonic Wind is so easy to dodge.

Yeah, VJ's bosses are tough... it's VERY intense fighting Fire Leo on Ultra X-Rated mode, I beat him eventually though...
i also remember the final boss in Sonic the Hedgehog being intense because A) you had to hit him sooooo many times and B) usually if he hit you once you were dead. It's really only hard though because you just have to keep hitting him over and over and over without making any mistakes.
lamest boss i can think of right now is the Phantom Train from Final Fantasy 6, because you can just use a Pheonix Down on it to kill it... Pheonix Down brings people back to life and the train is Undead so it kills it in one hit... and PD is an easy to get item too =p

A. Metroid Prime in Metroid Prime and Ganon in WindWaker B. N/A
There's not really a lame boss battle i can think of off hand right now. Metroid Prime (the boss) was hard. Beat it after my 20th attempt. Ganon in WW wasn't super hard, just fun.

I gotta agree with Ganon in Windwaker is pretty intense. Sparring with Ganon was the best part of the game.
The final King Koopa in Super Mario Bros wasn't as great as I thought it'd be the first time I played it.

Well, for me, Ratchet and Clanks ones boss, Drek, was insanely hard.Alsong with Ripto from Spyro Two and the Second boss from the Third Game.
The Protopet in RAC2 was way too easy, and so was Sorceruss in Spyro 3..
I also thought Yoshis Island was fun, and Bowsers Second in that was plain awesome.

Sad to say the only boss I remember completing was Zelda's boss's on pocket gameboy... I know I beat a ton of boss's from other games I just can't remember them.
