When I was at school, I checked the PLT forums. I saw the controller and quickly printed the screenshots. I showed my friends the controller (almost all my good friends are xbox fans exept 1 of them) they all called it stupid, non-traditional, weird, gay etc. The all made fun of me for the rest of the day because I liked the controller and revolution. But the thing that got to me most was the comment of being non-traditional. Thats the thing, its not supposed to be "traditional", its supposed to be different, and fun. People just don't get it, the nintendo guys are right, we need a revolution.

A couple of my friends are being stupid about it as well. One thinks this'll be the death of Nintendo, another thinks the controller looks like.....I don't think I need to finish that sentence.

One of my friends says nintendo's trying to be all futuristic. Look at the PS3, its the console verson of inspector gadjet. I'd say Ps3 and X-360 are far more futuristic than the Rev. He just didn't get that nintendo wants a new way to play games.

I have a feeling Mr. Andy is trying to finish up this story so he can make a comic about the controller.

Might've been an old episode, because Nintendo later came out and said there WILL be a fee, but they haven't announced how much yet. I'm betting that it won't cost very much per game though, a few dollars at max.

Are you talking about game downloads, or something else? Me confused.

Oops. For some reason I replied to a post on the first page (talking about game downloads). I was tired.
Anyway, back to the topic on hand, yeah, most game systems always drop in price a little each year. The Nintendo DS has already dropped a few bucks in less then a year. I wouldn’t expect an Xbox360 price drop until next Christmas, or at least something or other when the Playstation 3 launches.

Sorry, but recently Nintendo has come out and said that the Revolution will launch sometime in the next fiscal year. Meaning in the best case scenario (if Nintendo follows its tradition of releasing systems in Japan first) it could launch in Japan in April and America shortly after in the summer. Worse case scenario it would launch in Japan next Christmas and America would get it early 2007.
I don’t think it’ll come that early. I think it’ll launch a year from now for the 2006 holiday season. Nintendo will release a few more details this year, but we probably won’t see the games till the next E3 in May. Nintendo has also stated that they don’t want to show any game footage until the games are working right and show them in video form. They’ve also hinted at that they may NEVER publicly release the systems specs, most likely because it’s by far the weakest of the new systems, but it doesn’t matter because its purpose is for playing new awesome games.
In other system news, the Xbox 360 is coming soon and it might be in short supply much like the Playstation2 was when it launched. A feature I didn’t know about at first on the X360 was the arcade feature (which requires Xbox Live and I believe the hard drive). There you can download cheap but fun old-school games. It gives a great opportunity for small developers to make simple games without having to make an uber expensive 360 game. (which was something I was hoping that the Revolution could do with its old system emulation abilities). I’ve also finally played with an Xbox360 at Wal-Mart and Best Buy, and I’m sad to say that it isn’t really impressing me as much as I thought it would … yet.
And with the PS3, I’ve been hearing that it’s insanely expensive to work with. More information about the system just makes it seem more expensive then anything. What’s the point in making a system capable of producing 120 frames per second if no TV can do that yet? And Blu-Ray disks? Still VERY spendy.
I think that this is going to be the generation when Nintendo makes a comeback, Microsoft takes off even further, and Sony falls so that all three companies are about equal. Which really might be the best, actually.

I kinda figured that the Rev wouldn't release that early, but I had my hopes up.
And did anyone here that Resident Evil 5 is in developement?

Yes, Resident Evil 5 is surrently in development for the Xbox360 and Playstation 3, but not the Revolution. It could be because the system isn't powerful enough, the controller can't work the same, or they just didn't know enough about the system at the time.
Rest assured, I'm sure the Revolution will get some sort of Resident Evil game. Just as long as it's not just another Resident Evil 1 remake like the Gamecube and Nintendo DS got/are getting.

I wanna say to the people who have no clue what makes the rev's controller so special, it is that it has a motion sensor. say you wanna slash link's sword, you slash the controller.

WE knew that already. Tell that to people who are too ignorant about the controller and make fun of it.

I'm sure once those people play some awesome first person shooter game like Halo on the system, they'll realize the superior controller is just that. Till then, it's just a silly stick you wave around.
That's why the sooner Nintendo can show us some actual games the better. The less imaginative people can't conceive what makes the controller so great. I know I for one have thought of some amazing games myself.
