Yes, Resident Evil 5 is surrently in development for the Xbox360 and Playstation 3, but not the Revolution. It could be because the system isn't powerful enough, the controller can't work the same, or they just didn't know enough about the system at the time. Hopefully we get RE5, because I probably can't afford 2 systems (I have my hopes up though, i want Re5, the trailer is cool.). I think the main reason why RE5 isn't in production for the Rev. yet is that they don't know much at all about the system yet. But yeah, i do think the Rev. will get an RE. Maybe the Zero series will continue on it. And hopefully we do see some games for the revolution soon. All I've seen so far is the Metroid Prime 3 trailer, the Revolution trailer (which is unbelievable cool), and some E3 footage. I've had some good ideas as well for Rev games, like a PLT game where you assume the role of doug or phil and get to throw Tacos at random people by making a throwing motion with your controller.

Well, it looks like the Revolution will get to North America officially before thanksgiving this year, according to gamespot. No official date has been given, so will have to wait till E3 most likely. At least we know it definitely will come this year, since some people were getting scared it would come out in 2007. Here's a link if you want one: www.gamespot.com/news/6142572.html

Even more good news about the Revolution is that according to good old Reggie has stated that the system will be under $300. Yes, we all know it'll be the cheaper of the three newest systems, but it's nice to have it narrowed down a little more. www.planetgamecube.com/news.cfm?action=item&id=6733I'm thinking the system will cost around $200 when it launches. The actual system will probably be inexpensive (like around $150 or so) but the controller will probably be a hefty factor into it as well. Oh well, it's better then the $500 price tag annalists are predicting for the PS3. They're also saying a Fall launch is much more realistic then a Spring launch.

Looks like Nintendo decided to release the plans for the NDS redesign. The reply maker was being stupid and wouldn't let me get a pic up, so here's a link to the pic: zelda.nintendodomain.net/article.php?id=92Looks very sleek, I like that new iPodish futuristic look. It will have brighter screens and be smaller and the usuall redesign stuff. I was kinda worried at first, because I heard rumors of like an analogue stick and stuff, but I think I'll be fine now with my normal DS.

Here’s some good news for small time game developers.
For quite some time Nintendo has been promoting the Revolution system as something that’s easy and affordable to work with for game developers. Well, so far they’ve been holding up their end of the deal with the development kits. To make a game for a system, you have to buy a kit from the company to make the games one. Big ones like the original Xbox cost around $10,000 while small ones like the Nintendo DS are only $2500.
Well, it looks like the Revolution kits are only costing around $2000, making it a very nice system to look into if you’re a very small independent company. Especially when compared to, oh say, the $100,000 price tag for the Playstation 3 dev kits.

Jeeze those PS3 kits are expensive! Why are the Rev ones so low in price? I'd think with the new controller, they'd be a little more. But hey, that's good, with that low price I'm sure the Rev may get alot more games.

The PS3 is so expensive because it has that Cell chip in it, the powerful graphics card, the Blu-Ray drive, and all the computer programs you need. The Revolution, however, is pretty much a Gamecube on steroids. The Revolution is just a Gamecube with 2x or 3x more power, so it's like making a Gamecube game with much higher stats.
But yeah, I hadn't thought of the controller. Maybe that's good news, meaning it'll be more around $30-$40 instead of a massive $50 for the Xbox360 controller. Nintendo likes their productes affordable and easy to use, making it a far lesser risk for you to pick it up and try it out.

Yeah the PS3's price is pobably gonna be up there, but I heard they are not putting a hard drive in, which could cut the price down a little...
I also heard that the PS3 has iTunes or an iTunes like program on it. Why would you need that and a handful of other useless stuff that's on it on a console anyway?? I know that Sony's approach to the console world is to make like a "Gaming and Media Center", but that stuff just doesn't seem necessary.

Nintendo and Sony can be polar opposites at some time. Nintendo wants to make a fun, easy to use system to make games that anyone can enjoy. Sometimes it can be good; the Nintendo DS has a lot of fun games that non-gamers have been going "that might be fun". However other times they don't put a DVD player in the Gamecube because it didn't need it, but it might've helped people think the PS2 was better.
Sony wants to make a super computer that can do everything. With the PS3 they want to usher in the new Blu-Ray DVD drive, make people use their music service (it's been around for a while but nobody's been buying it), out-do Microsoft Live, and have an uber powerful system.
Blu-Ray drive? Movies are spendy so far and everyone's just spend tons of money building up a DVD collection. Music service? While being able to transfer it to your PSP might be neat; they're never going to beat Apple. Online service? Microsoft is a computer company who knows the internet, Sony is not. Uber powerful system? They've got that.
So no, I'm sad to say I'm not that big of a Playstation 3 fan (if you haven't guessed it by now). I'm still on the fence of the Xbox360. But my funyun's are on the Revolution. While I'm sure the PS3 will be a great system like the PSP, I'm worried that it'll also be like the PSP and just have a bunch of expensive features that could be done better somewhere else.

Sony’s made some stuff official! - the PS3 will be launching November 17th - There will be two versions, a 20GB HDD for $500 and a 60GB HDD for $600 - The controller will be more like the older ones, not the boomerang - The controller will have motion detection in it - Download old PS1 games and even send them to the PSP
Wow, that’s a lot of money for a system I don’t care too much about. I still don’t feel satisfied with a $400 Xbox 360, and that had games I was mildly interested in. And I’d need an HDTV to care about Blu-Ray movies, but the system would blow too much of my game budget. And what worries me is if they have to offer a 60GB, what do they expect us to be saving?
As for the motion sensor controller … wow … Sony continues its tradition of ripping off Nintendo. This just seems like a last minute panic move on their part. First off, I don’t see many companies really using this. Are they going to force Squaresoft to use the motion stuff in FF XIII (which was also just announced)? Personally I think it’s overkill. We already have to deal with how many buttons on the controller, and how we have this on top of it all?
Sending PS1 games to the PSP sounds really cool, though. My worry is that they'll need a huge memory card to work off of. I'm hoping Nintendo does something like this with the Wii and DS.
Oh well, the system was never meant for me anyway. Maybe still will help Nintendo out. Their system will be less the half the price and have fewer buttons to worry about. Speaking of which, tomorrow morning is their press conference, and I’m hoping for some big news! We already have a new Crystal Chronicles and Dragon Quest game ready for launch from Square, let’s see what else they’ve got!

And then it was Nintendo’s turn. - Zelda: Twilight Princess will be a launch title for the Wii, and they’ll also release a second version of the game for the Gamecube. The Wii version has aiming with the wiimote for distance weapons and other thigns. - The pointed part of the controller has a built in speaker, and the nunchaku part has minor motion detection in it as well. - The Wii has WiiConnect24, which means the system doesn’t turn off, but goes into a sleep mode so friends can send you stuff (like messages or visit your Animal Crossing town) even when you’re not playing - Wii games include Super Mario Galaxies (run around in space and small 3D planets), Project HAMMER (smash stuff with hammer fun), Excite Truck (think of ExciterBike only with trucks), Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Disaster: Day of Crisis (stop a terrorist during natural disasters), Wii Sports (baseball, golf, tennis), Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Fire Emblem, and more. - DS games include a sequel to my favorite game of all times Yoshi’s Island 2, as well as StarFox DS. Gamecube game Super Paper Mario announced, classic Mario side scroller with Paper Mario graphics. - Here’s the Virtual Console controller! www.gamespot.com/news/6149763.htmlBut we still don’t have any prices, Virtual Console info, or Super Smash Brothers. We’ll learn more over the next few days on the games we do know about, though.

If I choose to buy a next-gen console, it'll be Wii. Even if I didn't play Nintendo, now would be a good time to start since it's likely going to cost much less than XBox 360 and PS3. Who but the really rich will spend $600 for a game console?

Ahhh E3. That time of year again. All this news is so great. Looks like the Wii will be the first console I buy at launch. Though I am planning on possibly pulling a Doug and mysteriously purchase all of these great consoles (though the probability of me actually getting $600 for a PS3 is very slim... very.) They just released info on SSB... www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.html?sid=6150506&pid=928518

Two more days people! Then Nintendo reveals the good stuff (price and release if you don't know).
I'm exited.
