Hold your tongue!
That is one of my favorites.

Lest I cut it out! Just kiddin'. "ZIM Eats Waffles" is possible my favorite episode (Second to "Backseat Drivers...") I don't remember the commentary for it, though. I'll have to check that out this morning.

Has anyone seen any shots of Gir with blood splattered all over him hidden away in most episodes after Bad, Bad, Rubber Piggy? It's true, there are images in just about every episodes on and after Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy. Though, it's only in one frame and very faint.
The most easiest one to find, though, is in Mortos Der Soul stealer. It's only a few seconds into the opening, just a bit after the house is created and the pipes shoot out.

Yes! I have seen it, In all it's glory. It's Jhonen's of saying..."Take that Nickalodeon!" That's just a mild way of saying the two words he'd really say. I love seeing the random things he will stick in the episodes. There was one thing he had put in an episode that I don't think he wanted to, Sapphire had pointed it out to me, was when Dib and Gaz held hands in Gaz Taster of Pork.

I wonder if Nick ever found out about them.

I'm sure they have by now, before...I'm not too sure. Apparently, they didn't know that the show had such a cult following. Even though all they had to do was enter in his name to Google and learn that ZIM has conquered the internet. I have yet to find any other Bloody GIRs, save from the "Mortos" and "Rubber Piggy" episodes. One of these days, when I'm ultra board *probably when I'm in college...* I'll go through the eps frame by frame to see what I can find.

Actually, I think Nickelodeon was VERY much aware of the cult following Invader Zim was getting. However they didn’t like it. Look at all the other Nicktoons. Most of them are all tweeny happy lesson-giving adorable loved-by-all basic I-wanna-be-cool-too things. But Zim was becoming the crazy, older goth teen and collage cult classic. I don’t think that’s what they were looking for.

Ha. Now they just need a blood splattered spongebob. They still show "Zim" on the NickToon channel btw. And you're right. All the other nicktoons are the..stereotype you mentioned above. I wish the DVD set was available somewhere where I live.

But Zim was becoming the crazy, older goth teen and collage cult classic. I don’t think that’s what they were looking for. That is, however, what they get for hiring a man such as Jhonen C. Vasquez to do the job. You can't take a man who's most famous creation is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and expect him to be able to make a show that is tweeny-happy-lesson-giving-adorable-loved-by-all-basic I-wanna-be-cool-to-esque. I don't care how cute Mary Harrington thought his Squee! series was. You just can't expect that from JCV.

I'd still think the same about Spongebob if he were covered in blood. *points to bottom of sig*

I Like Spongebob though! What I don't like is shows like All Grown Up, and Hey Arnold, and Danny Phantom.

I hate all shows on Nick right now.
The only shows worth watching were Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and of course, ZIM.

I always watched "Angry Beavers", "The Adventures of Pete and Pete", "Rocko", etc. But now, I must say, that I don't watch Nick...at all. Occasionally I'll watch their show "Avatar: The Last Air Bender" (or whatever it's called), but since I've taken Nick out of the channel listing on my TV, I rarely even catch that. It's just that I've noticed a general intellectual decline of the network. Another reason why I believe that ZIM didn't make it. Ya know, that reminds me. Rikki (Simons, the voice of GIR..if we don't all know that now...) had an downloadable interview that explained a lot of stuff. Hmmm..I can't seem to find it. It used to be avaliable here: www.881theburg.com/weeklygeek.php, but it seems to not be. Ok...

Awww.....If you found it, I would've liked to see it...
Oh, and a friend of mine looked through Bad Bad Rubber Piggy and couldn't seem to find the Bloody Gir.
He wants to know, exactly in which part when ZIM throws the last piggy is the shot?

But Cartoon Network is the best!
