Coming summer 2005!!! ha!!

That would be pretty cool, but it makes me wonder... who would have the best voices for Phil and Doug?
And yeah, for copywrite reasons, it'd probably get rejected. Then again, PLT can be funny without VG characters, like that arc about the fast food convention.

Whenever I see Phil or Doug speaking, I think of Richard Horvitz doing Phil and Rikki Simons doing Doug.

How odd! My friends and I were just talking about this the other day! It would be a great idea. But voicing? Hmm...

Whenever I see Phil or Doug speaking, I think of Richard Horvitz doing Phil and Rikki Simons doing Doug. Zim and GIR, eh? I dunno... I'd pin Richard Horvitz more as Doug, and a more mature, stable voice as Phil (don't really have anyone in mind for that). Oh, and Tara Strong as Sal.

Yeah, the drawing style of PLT reminded me of Vasquez's comics (Happy Noodle Boy, to be exact) and ZIM, so...

Yes, I can see Richard more as Doug than as Phil. Rikki - love ya sorry - as neither.
But a big YES on Tara Strong as Sal.
But as for animation, I think it would be awesome (as I suggested to Sapphire when we were talking about it) if the animation was a little reminiscient of Ed, Edd, and Eddy (don't shoot me yet, hear me out) in that the lines would look hand-drawn in each frame (much like PLT is) and so they would move slightly.
But as for voices, I can't wait to hear Sapphire's suggestions.

Rikki Simons isn't a voice actor anyway, he's an artist. Before Jhonen made IZ, Rikki did the colouring for his comic book, I Feel Sick. It's just a weird thing that Jhonen picked him to do GIR's voice.
Edit: Rikki also did colouring for the TV show.

Yeah....There's some...thing somewhere where Rikki told the story of how he landed GIR's part. He's really not a VA, thank Zarquon. He's much better with his mad coloring skills. And I'm working on voices....There are just SO many people. Hmmm..

Ah, I would absolutely adore doing a PLT movie. My main reason would be for the art style. I don’t know about the squiggly Ed, Edd & Eddy style, but it would have a very home made look (so much in that it would also look like ink and colored pencils). Storywise I would go for more of the fast food vrs Phil, because that it was the strip is about. That way it wouldn’t get carried away with the crazy Doug video game things. Voices? No clue. The only way I would know would be to hold voice auditions and hear hundreds of voices until one sounds just right. Honestly, I see a movie like this (basic art form and a basic story done wonderfully) being an independent movie type sort of thing. Mainstreaming it would just ruin it, much like it’s done to other movies, television, radio, and coming soon - video games. They would make me fill it full of songs from the newest artists the record companies have created. They would make it take place not in Happy Tacos but in whatever fast food place is the highest bidder. If it was a kid’s movie, they would make the voices be Frankie Muniz and Jim Carey and it would be about believing in yourself and trusting in your friends. If it was for older people, it would have Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler and it would be about adult content. (Not that they’re all bad actors, it’s just the popular people they’re throw in for no reason) Oh, and they would probably fire me for thinking things like this and this are funny. However, it would still cost piles of money to make something like this, which is something I have absolutely none of. But hey, you never know. The strip could get popular enough. Or maybe someday I’ll finally be done with one of my other original products and fun this that way. Who knows! Still fun thinking about though, especially when you’re at the movie theater and pretending the trailer is playing.

It would probably become another "Invader ZIM", where all the head, executivie people don't understand why this or that is supposed to be funny, etc. But I, personally, would love it.

i think u shold make a flash animation of PLT, lordandy. that way u could control every thing and not have to cut out the video game and movie refrences.

That's a good idea. Even a simple Flash short would be pretty cool. That's assuming LA has Flash, though.

Have Flash? Yes. Able to use Flash? No, not really.
I also don't really have the time to learn Flash either. I mostly spend my time working on a comic book idea. But other PLT ideas other then this comic strip are always running through my head. It all depends on what I have time, money, and patience for.
